Summary/Abstract: This article is a chronicle of Mariana Anghel’s book, Încercare asupra operei lui Eugen Dorcescu. For many years, the lyrics of Eugen Dorcescu from Timişoara have been dominated by a beneficial and noble mystical component. The author of the article aims to see to what extent Mariana Anghel’s valuable judgments rest on a solid “theoretical” foundation and do not come only from literary exegetical perceptions. Intelligently written, Mariana Anghel’s book is a non-ostentatious text towards the conclusion that Eugen Dorcescu is one of the great contemporary poets.
