Summary/Abstract: Learning a second language besides the mother tongue is a complex and long process. Numerous external and internal factors infl uence on this process. It have been theoretical arguing for long time about the infl uences of factors on the process of learning foreign languages , about the ways how to improve teaching foreign language in order to easier acceptance of the structure (morphology, syntax, phonetics) of foreign languages, about the teacher’s role in that process, the cognitive side of learning foreign languages. Here is given the Heyd’s choice of some famous theories that have caused ripples in the didactic studies that have not given fruits fully applicable in practice.
