READING AND TYPES OF READING

Summary/Abstract: Reading is a skill that is necessary for human survival in the modern world. That skill is not a consequence of biological, but cultural evolution of man. It is for this reason that learning reading is the most important task of students in school, the acquisition of which opens various ways for further learning.The main tasks of teaching reading in the first grades of primary school include: learning reading techniques, fluent and correct reading, mastering the technique of loud and silent reading, introducing students to expressive reading, mastering the technique of various forms of reading, achievement of a certain speed of reading and understanding of what is read.
