E-LEARNING IMPLEMENTATION АТ UGD – LESSONS LEARNED

Summary/Abstract: The ICT imposes inevitable positive changes upon the modern world. These changes are largely related to education as well. The policy of Goce Delcev University is to fully implement ICT in all segments of management, administration and teaching. For this purpose, several projects for e-learning implementation at UGD have been conducted. This paper describes the projects that have been implemented at UGD to introduce e-learning. Furthermore, it presents the results achieved in the period from 2008 to 2013. It shows that the new technology for ICT implementation in the teaching process was successfully adopted at University level. However, this was not an easy or simple process and we encountered a number of problems. Furthermore, this paper describes the problems we encountered in the course of its implementation and what we learned from resolving these problems. Finally, in the conclusion, we give our recommendations for successful implementation of e-learning.
