Summary/Abstract: The Republic of Macedonia as a multiethnic, multicultural and multireligious country provides realization of both individual and collective rights of ethnic communities through its legislation. The right to education of members of ethnic communities is also included in this body of ethnic rights. But despite the fact that the legislation offers normal prerequisites for the education of the ethnic communities, there is no satisfactory participation of their members in the educational system in Macedonia, and where they are present, their achievements are very low. Hence appears the inspiration and idea for writing this paper, in order to point to the existing differences in educational achievements of students on ethnic basis and to completely identify the factors that influence their educational achievements. One of the strategic decisions related to the development of our country is raising the educational level of the population, especially children and youth and the formation of a healthy person able to fully fit into social relationships, and thus realize the right to work. The educational system is one of the main factors the proper development of an individual depends on. The higher an individual’s educational level, the easier is his/her fitting in contemporary social life and finding a job on the labor market. Education is one of the most powerful weapons for the realization of individual rights, especially for members of ethnic communities. The more a person is educated, the higher position on the social scale he/she occupies.
