Summary/Abstract: Opting for the interpretation of the poem „With eyes closed“, we at the same time try to point out its uniqueness and write about some of emblematic qualities of Dis’s poetics. Our main intention, which is to explore the fields of meaning included in a specific lyrical creation, will involve actively bringing the poem into connection with the lyric cycle to which it belongs. The eleven poems that constitute this unusually homogeneous cycle complete the range of sensitivity of the same lyrical subject. That range is mostly related to the lyrical subject’s attitude towards death..
