Summary/Abstract: Frequent use of the term poetics, encountered in recent times, multiplies meanings that are difficult to compare, to certain extent inconsistent, although actively coexistent, causes uncertainty about signification. And still, terminological specification is not ne cessary except in the case when the intention is to make a product of wide application which originates from it, such as poetological glossary. The term poetics contains normative templates, instructions that artists should follow, i.e., sets of rules that should be applied in order to write a good work of art, re gardless of whether they are created during a certain epoch, within a literary school or determined by an individual. The poetic approach to the work is oriented towards the analysis of structural arrangement of the work, while poetological approach would in vestigate, along with structural order, the origin and operation of literary work, therefore, it would be closer to a more general scientific understanding of knowledge/creative skill. Following the development of poetological thought about the process of creating a work of art, the way the work is created, the rules by which it is built and the effect it has on the audience, leads to the identification, separation and systematization of the term fund. The established glossary would offer a reference framework, the adoption of which on a larger scale provides an insight into paradigm shifts and different tendencies, and on a smaller scale opens a perspective for interpretation of literary works and their literaryhistorical characterization. In addition to the scientific purpose, the poetological glossary would also have a wide application in education (primarily in literature classes), with the purpose of improving and innovating the teaching process, considering scientific terms are the mainstay of teaching.
