Summary/Abstract: Johannes Gazulus was a famous Albanian astrologer who lived and worked in the fifteenth-century Ragusa. In this article, his profile is visited from a different perspective, namely as a master of social networks in the Late Middle Ages. In this respect, the following networks are highlighted: 1. His Albanian social network in the Republic of Ragusa and beyond; 2. His local Ragusan network especially with the Ragusan Senate, who entrusted him the delicate mission of acquiring from the Holy See a special privilegium to trade with non-Christians; 3. His political connections with the Hungarian king and Roman Emperor, Sigismundus of Luxemburg, which made him a name as a successful negotiator and mediator. One of these roles was also making the Ottoman threat relevant for the Holy See, which resulted into a large anti-Ottoman campaign during the Holy Year 1450-1451. 4. The political connections are treated as a separate network, and last but not least, I take into consideration the intelectual network of Gazulli. 5. The intelectual network included not only scholars, professors and students, but also extends to the readers of his books and ideas, making his legacy last forever.
