Summary/Abstract: In the evolution of Romanian law, the essence of legislative norms was the protection of agricultural land as a social asset and not as a private right. Starting with the Constitution of the United Romanian Principalities of June 30, 1866 and until the entry into force of the Romanian Constitution of 1923, the right to private property was regulated according to legislative norms adapted to political ideologies, in relation to the historical stages of the Romanian state, corresponding to the needs of the Romanian people to own agricultural lands in private ownership, from the exploitation of which they can ensure their daily existence.
