Summary/Abstract: The present article is an analysis of Lucian Blaga’s book ,,Avram Iancu. Drama. 1934”. In this festive-reverential context of the „Bicentenary of the Birth of Avram Iancu” in 2024, Şcoala Ardeleană Publishing House dedicated a series of books, printed in exceptional graphic conditions, to the hero from Apuseni. The play signed by Lucian Blaga, together with a Prologue and an Epilogue, trans- pose us into the landscape of Romanian mythology and folklore, as well as into the essence of the spirituality of the Romanian nation. The play begins with the portrayal of Avram Iancu, an Avram Iancu full of youthful vigor, ready for action, in contrast to other Romanian revolutionaries, and ends with several sequences that show Avram Iancu’s disappointment.
