Summary/Abstract: In the last decade, new members of the powerful families of Elephantine have come into new light thanks to the archaeological work of the University of Jaén at the necropolis of Qubbet el-Hawa (Aswan, Egypt) and the related research carried out by several scholars, using the prosopography as the general approach. The current paper presents a case study of the family network of the Middle Kingdom local governor Sarenputi I using the traditional prosopographical approach and Social Network Analysis (SNA onwards). The application of the SNA methodology to the family network of Sarenputi I has allowed the reconstruction and visualisation of the personal interrelations between the governor and his relatives highlighting the dynamics of kinship relations of the Elephantine elite community.
