Stylistic Layerings in Contemporary Music: Analyzes and Conclusions

Summary/Abstract: The article examines the issue of changing compositional systems as steps in the assimilation of the global musical space. The expansion of techniques in the 9th–21st centuries corresponds to the gradual emancipation of overtones in order from the closest to the fundamental tone to the most distant from it. In professional music, the concept of tradition and innovation changes its orientation, which is more social than musical, for which examples are given.
