Summary/Abstract: Ioan Milică's volume, The Phrase Factory: Eminescu in the World of the Press (Essays Collection, University of Bucharest Publishing House, 2023, 262 pages), is the result of such a challenge, which the Iași essayist seeks to address through an interdisciplinary approach, where tools from the fields of linguistics, pragmatics, discourse analysis, theater studies, source studies, history and literary criticism, and, broadly speaking, from the field of cultural philosophy, intersect. From here derives the mosaic aspect of the book, with fragmentarism itself being a hallmark of (post)postmodernity and the trends in current philological research, which seek to redefine their methodology and discourse to make their message more accessible and efficient. Milică revisits Eminescu's journalism, trying to explain its articulation, functioning mechanisms, strategies used, and impact.
