Summary/Abstract: As technology rapidly advances, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) has become ubiquitous in all areas of our society, and the legal sphere is no exception. In an era where data and information circulate at an unimaginable speed, surpassing even the most futuristic mental representations of our predecessors, lawmakers are also forced to adapt to the changes brought about by the various forms that artificial intelligence can take. This article aims to analyse the validity of smart contracts from the perspective of a jurist in the Romanian legal system, specifically whether current legal norms can be applied to this new type of contract, the "smart contract".
