This texts is an example of propaganda text. Itsappeals to earlier propaganda linguistic codes: tsarist (idea of triune Russian nation, onomasticsMalorossiya, Novorossiya), Soviet (terms bratskiy narod, vossoyediniye, myth of Great PatrioticWar and common work), also appeal to Putin’s statements and current propaganda (“sham”incorporation of Crimea and Donbas into Ukraine, supposed Ukrainian lack of nationaldifference, any Ukrainian national movement identified with “Banderites” and “Neo-Nazis”).Its creates distinct biased view of history and Russian-Ukrainian relations.
