Summary/Abstract: This paper presents and analyses the texts of selected Croatian émigrés, who in the early 1990s transferred their activities to the newly founded Republic of Croatia and called for a decisive break with communist practices and mentality in the moments of Croatia’s transition from a communist to a democratic system. The aim of the paper is to enrich the findings of political ideas and visions in Croatia at the end of the 20th century and to show that some of the Croatian émigrés did not limit themselves to activities aimed at the creation of an independent Croatian state, but also offered solutions for its upbuilding as a truly democratic state.
