Summary/Abstract: On the late evening of December 26, 2023, an exceptional personality of the Cluj Folklore School, Professor Ion Cuceu, passed away. He led the Folklore Archive of the Romanian Academy for almost three decades, significantly contributing to the training of young researchers in the field he served with dedication. He left behind fundamental works in the vast field of popular narratology and agrarian rituals, as well as a series of typologies and corpora of folklore texts.
