Summary/Abstract: The International Medieval Congress (IMC) in Leeds, established in 1994, has become a significant annual event for medieval scholars, offering a European counterpart to the American Kalamazoo congress. Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the congress continued online in 2020 and 2021 and adopted a hybrid format from 2022. The 2024 congress focused on medieval crises, featuring diverse presentations on intellectual networks, university history, and student life in medieval times. Highlights included discussions on intellectual networks in North Africa, Greek philosophy in Byzantium, and the role of students in university towns. The congress also featured a rich program of excursions, book fairs, and social events, with recordings of all lectures available online until the end of summer 2024.
