Summary/Abstract: One way of integrating the metacognitive approach to avoiding cognitive and emotional biases suggested by Maynes (2015) and Schraw (1998) into critical thinking teaching and learning activities is illustrated in which the types of biases exemplified are considered specific to domains, such as political thinking and the assessment of global phenomena, rather than general.
