Old Romania Books in Ocna Sibiului

Summary/Abstract: For writing this paper the archival material found and consulted in the archives of some cultural institutions from Sibiu County, represented the most important source of information, the specialized bibliography, being in turn a valuable and necessary scientific source (catalogues of old Romania book collections belonging to cultural institutions such as museums, libraries). The inventory compiled, for the Greek-Catholic and Roman-Catholic parishes, for the Orthodox parish by the local priests, the analytical records made by conservators and historians of the movable heritage, as well as the specialized literature, indicate that Ocna Sibiului was one of the most important holder of old Romania books among the rural settlements of Sibiu County.
