THE RIGHT TO OSH AS A GUARANTOR OF SOCIAL ORDER IN THE WORLD OF WORK

Summary/Abstract: The article shows that the implementation of everyone’s right to safe and healthy working condi-tions is aimed at ensuring social peace at work. This position is represented in recent documents bythe International Labour Organization and the European Union, stressing the importance of socialdialogue on OSH issues. Polish legislation also grants employees and their representatives the rightto consult their employer on all OSH activities, and even in some cases employees have the right toco-decide with their employer on these matters. This serves to protect the common good, which isthe life and health of employees.
