Summary/Abstract: Th is article discusses the thirty-year history of the Belarusian Language Olympiad in Poland.Th e author notes the most important moments in the history of the Olympiad, describes the organizationalstructure of the competition, characterizes the individual stages and topics of the competition, and lists allentities involved in preparing, organizing and conducting the Belarusian Language Olympiad in Poland. Inaddition, the article discusses in detail the role and importance of the Olympiad for participants, for schoolsthat off er supplementary study of Belarusian as a foreign language, for the Belarusian minority in Poland andfor teachers working with particularly talented students.
