Summary/Abstract: This article on aesthetic ideas in the philosophical corpus of Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite first clarifies the biographical and authorial mystifications concerning the life and work of this author, and then approaches the analysis of the work of this famous author, one of the most important exponents of patristic aesthetics. The article then analyzes the implications of his philosophy for medieval and Byzantine aesthetics, with particular attention paid to the questions of beauty, divine beauty, goodness, and truth within the framework of his philosophical and theological teachings.
