Summary/Abstract: Erected in 1673, a wooden church in Brody Poznańskie is characterized by its original quasi-timber construction system, plan in modum crucis, carpentry decoration of the detail with commemorative inscriptions and unique source material, revealing a pattern adopted for the temple and the original architectural face and furnishings. Incorporated into the decoration of the portals and the rood beam, the inscriptions date and personalize the foundation. This data is complemented by theepitaph legend of the donor’s coffin portrait. It says that this benefactor, who died at the age of 104, still lives in the church in the glory of immortal fame.
