Summary/Abstract: I left my wife on a Monday night. My friend pulled his VW Van up in front of the tiny, Spanish style house we were living in at the time, and we just started loading my things. I can still remember those two somber faces—my four-year-old son and my wife, thirty years his senior—as they sat on the couch and watched us go in and out of the house. Oh, I didn’t take much in the way of material things, my clothes and my stereo, but what I took were pieces of our hearts.
