Summary/Abstract: The goal of this study is to analyze the foundationof the Răciula Monastery. In the 19th century, in the area between the Dniester and Prut rivers, the process of building new monastic settlements began; over time, these monasteries played a big role in the development and sustainability of the moral and spiritual traditions of the Romanian people. The Răciula monastery was founded witht he approval of Constantin Alexandru Ipsilanti, the Rulerof Moldova himself. Knowledge of the foundation of this monastic place is very valuable, because only by recognizing the political and social processes of its construction can we truly appreciate the real participation of our ancestors, who to this day express their generosity towards the Church and all that is sacred. The estate, which at that time was part of the Niscani estate, was donated along with the Ichel River and arable land, which served as a sourceof life, as well as a site for the construction of a new monastery. In addition, a church, a bell tower and quarters for the monks were built from the very beginning. Finally, this monastic temple, even at its founding and to this day, united us, once again proving that we are one people, withthe same Orthodox traditions, always connecting the twobanks of the Prut River.
