Summary/Abstract: In this research, certain two-syllable nouns of Turkish origin of Serbian language were analyzed using dictionaries of Serbian language and online survey based on associative analysis uncover an attitude about the awareness of the Serbian linguistic and cultural community about them, as well as to what extent two-syllable nouns of Turkish origin have stereotypes and prejudices prosodically. The results are suggesting that some of the examined subjects have prejudices and stereotypes, but the majority consider that the nouns are domesticated, somewhat archaic and have a stylistic function in the language. The result also showed that adaptation in prosody issue is a part of linguistic and cultural point of view. Therefore, people who are resistant to words of foreign origin have long hesitated to pronounce them according to the prosodic norm.
