SLEPCHE LITERARY CENTER AS THE ORIGINAL CONTINUATION OF THE OHRID SPIRITUAL AND LITERARY SCHOOL IN POST-BYZANTINE MACEDONIA

Summary/Abstract: The appendix brings new research to the Slepche literary center, this time in the context of its role as the original continuation of the Ohrid spiritual and literary school established by Cyril and Methodius’ disciple St. Clement of Ohrid at the transition from the 9th to the 10th century. The text represents the first part of the larger scientific study under the abovementioned title, in which we dwell on the handwritten literary and written heritage in the Slepche monastery library dating from the period before the 16th century. Further research from this study will continue in the second part of its publication.
