Between “A Distinguished Polish Poetess” and “A Person among Writers Like a Bat among the Fowl”. Traces of Reception of the Works by Antonina Niemiryczowa in the Second Half of the 18th Century

Summary/Abstract: The paper discusses the few existing traces of the reception of the literary output of a second-rate author Antonina Niemiryczowa (she published merely two works and her collection of epigrams remained in manuscript) from the second half of the 18th c.: their presence in 1750 and 1755 bibliographies by Jan Daniel Janocki and a 1754 one by Józef Andrzej Załuski, a critical opinion on her debut by Udalryk Krzysztof Radziwiłł of 1751, and a certain poetic tribute made by Józef Epifani Minasowicz in 1753.
