About some functions of the juwelry in the Collection by Miladinovci

Summary/Abstract: The interest for this subject came about from the rich and the original language used in the poems, collected by the brothers Dimitrija and Konstantin Miladinov's. This material gives opportunity for studies in several aspects. The author stresses that in the analyzed poems, the names for the jewelry, apart from their main function to accent the wealth and the power of the town class in Macedonia. In the supplement the lexical term PEARL is selected as a typical one for the region from which the collectors of the poems originate. The word is studied with its lexical varieties. They represent a reflection of the rich spiritual and material culture life of the Macedonian people. They are connected not only with the tradition, but also with the every day life and customs. The function and the symbolism of the selected terms for jewelry brings us much closer to the tradition and the mythology of other people in the world. The selected verses illustrate trhe high artistic level, the spirit and the expression of the anonimous author.
