Summary/Abstract: The essay aims to highlight the distinctiveness of ordoliberal political philosophy and the significance of its relationship with the concepts of order, time, and power. The ordoliberal moment is analyzed through its various theoretical transformations, consistently emerging as a key factor within the neoliberal agenda. The analysis primarily focuses on unpacking the characteristics of Foucault’s homo oeconomicus in relation to the ordoliberal understanding of subjectivity. The positioning of the economic in relation to the political is shown to be critical for the philosophical analysis of the formation of a characteristic type of subject within the ordoliberal anthropological framework, defined by economic behavior. The author demonstrates that the new grammar of power within neoliberal democracy rests on a structurally non-revolutionary dynamic, on one hand, and the prestige of economic action, on the other, resulting in a highly specific subject as the foundation of ordoliberal theory
