GJORGI ABADJIEV AND MACEDONIAN LITERARY CIRCLE

Summary/Abstract: Gjorgi Abadjiev is one of our numerous predecessors who retells our past, history, our cultural and national elevation. His works are a real image of our past, they are based on historical facts, and his heroes are real, born from the Macedonian people. Gjorgji Abadjiev and the members of the Macedonian Literary Circle represent the continuity, that is, the link in the creation of Macedonian contemporary literature and Macedonian national culture. The efforts of Abadjiev and the Macedonian Literary Circle elevated Macedonian literature and enabled its framing in the world framework. That is why Abadjiev’s contribution to Macedonian prose production as well as to Macedonian historiography and journalism is indisputable.
