Summary/Abstract: Although in recent decades there have been numerous studies related to discourse markers, little attention has been paid to their didactic treatment, and it is this gap that the work we are reviewing aims to fill. The Teaching and Learning of Connectors and Discourse Operators in Spanish as a Foreign Language, edited by two eminent Spanish language professors, Dr. Catalina Fuentes Rodríguez from the University of Seville and Dr. Ester Brenes Peña from the University of Córdoba, presents itself from the title as a key contribution to the teaching and learning of discourse markers in Spanish as a foreign language. This is a theoretical-practical contribution based on several research projects and different types of discourse to offer teaching strategies and concrete didactic proposals that facilitate the ELE teacher in bringing a difficult topic for students, that of connectors and discourse operators, into the classroom.
