Summary/Abstract: The paper attempts to prove that Paul Goma, the prose-writer, is the author of an alternative variant of literary type of Basarabean, an extrovert and eccentric one, different from the images of resigned, contemplative, peaceful, and serene characters of the literary cannon settled on territory between the Prut and the Nistru rivers after the retreat of the socialist realism.
