Personality characteristics of employees from the Ministry of Internal Affairs

Summary/Abstract: This study aimed to establish the differences in the dominant personality traits of newly hired officers and non-commissioned officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, focusing on their personality characteristics, cognitive intelligence levels, and interests. The research sample consisted of 140 subjects of which 70 officers and 70 non-commissioned officers, aged between 18 and 65 years. The results of the research revealed that the overall cognitive abilities of non-commissioned officers is lower, compared to those of officers. Additionally, officers demonstrated more developed social interests than non-commissioned officers. With respect to personality traits, officers exhibited significantly more positive indicators than their non-commissioned counterparts.
