Summary/Abstract: Human wellbeing, understood as a good life, is an interdisciplinary concept that gained prominence in many scientific disciplines in the second half of the 20th century. Wellbeing encompasses various indicators that reflect whether a person is happy with their life, one of which is health. The article therefore focuses on the salutogenic model of health, which has a lot in common with the theory of wellbeing and helps answer the question regarding what to do, and how, to have a positive impact on an individual’s sense of coherence. It thus provids the tools to help them move along the health-sickness continuum towards better health, so that they can enhance their wellbeing. Although the article explores theoretical perspectives, its theoretical analysis draws on a review of various empirical studies examining the impact of the relationship between an individual’s sense of coherence and their ability to cope with various stressors.
