Summary/Abstract: This study will analyze the evolution of Turkish-American relations from the Ottoman Empire to the present, focusing on the fundamental goals and motivations of both nations. The primary purpose of this historical analysis is to explore the continuity and changes that have occurred over time. Understanding the factors that have driven these changes and identifying the basic patterns that continue today will provide insight into how future expectations are formed. The first part of the study focuses on Turkish-American relations during the Ataturk era, while the second part examines Turkish-American relations up to 1945. The third part examines Turkish-American relations from 1945 to 1960. The final part focuses on the period from 1960 to the 1980s in these relations.
