Summary/Abstract: The article addresses the issue of social participation in revitalisation activities. The au-thors present a study example of ul. św. Marcin in Poznań, which is a public space of extraordinaryimportance and characterized by high activity of the local community. The aim of the article is toemphasize the role of real participation as a basis for socio-spatial integration and building lastingpartnerships for the renewal and activation of urban space. The publication addresses the issue ofeffective work with stakeholders of key urban spaces, creating platforms for the exchange of goodpractices and knowledge, as well as building lasting foundations for future changes with the activeparticipation of local communities. The authors want to emphasize the need to build partnershipsthat serve to define a common and coherent vision of revitalisation, developed in cooperation be-tween local government authorities and local communities. The topics presented in the article werepresented in a research and implementation approach. The research methods used served to identifymodel solutions and diagnose the existing functional and spatial situation of the studied example.Based on the assessment, it was possible to formulate recommendations for future activities aimedat developing an optimal solution. The presented results may constitute an interesting thread in sci-entific discussions on social participation, as well as an inspiration for local governments to conductintensified activities for the broadly understood partnership in revitalisation.
