Summary/Abstract: Everyone experiences stress in their lives. Chronic stress contributes to the development of chronic diseases as well as serious physical ailments due to reduced efficiency of the immune system. Over the past two years, COVID-19 has caused disruptions in everyone’s normal life. The impact of COVID-19 on college students’ mental health as well as lifestyles adds to the stress. It is important for young people to recognize the signs and symptoms of stress in themselves and others, and to use effective stress management strategies. Self-help manuals are a tool that provides an opportunity to implement psychological prevention and intervention on a large scale and in an accessible way. However, finding good self-help materials translated into multiple languages can be a challenge. This article presents the adapted Bulgarian version of the illustrated manual for stress management published in 2015 by the World Health Organization.
