Summary/Abstract: In December 2023, 75 years passed since the Kingdom of the Netherlands start-ed the second military intervention in the Republic of Indonesia. The 1947 and 1948 warsare called ‘the fi rst and second police action’. In 1949, the Republic of Indonesia gained in-dependence. The arti cle describes these wars’ course and political consequences, includingan apology from the King of the Netherlands and the Dutch prime minister for the violenceof those periods. These events resemble recent ‘special operations’ conducted by Russia inUkraine. The various stages of the Dutch Military Aggressions are a possible scenario for thecourse and conclusion of the Russo-Ukrainian War.
