Summary/Abstract: This research started from the worldwide popularity of the animated film "The Little Prince", made in 2015 based on Antoine de Saint- Exupéry’s famous short story having the same name, published in 1942. The aim of the research was to highlight the way in which undergraduate and master's students in the field of Education Sciences perceive and currently consider capitalized the metaphors and educational models that the film is containing. The data were collected from a number of 140 respondents, who agreed to watch the film in private and write a free text of minimum 10 lines in which to include considerations, analyzes, personal points of view. The qualitative data thus obtained were interpreted using the KH Coder program and thematically analyzed through text fragments, in relation to word structures generated by the program. The main conclusions show that the film constitutes both a successful illustration and an update of the story of the famous French author. At the same time, it can offer, through the complexity of metaphors and the value of the educational models it includes, a pedagogical support to parents and teachers in the training of today's children and young people, in the context of technicalization to robotization of society and people's lives.
