Summary/Abstract: The energy issue is a vital one for any country. In Romania, for many years, there has been a very serious concern for providing the energy needed for the economy, industry, and population. The pinnacle of this effort represented - and still represents - the construction of the first nuclear power plant on Romanian soil. Its story, like that of the „Iron Gates I” and „Iron Gates II” hydropower and navigation systems or the hydroelectric and micro-hydroelectric systems is a fabulous one. In the following, the security and IT or counter-informative side of the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant is presented. Even if today, due to the ignorance of those who deal with this field, electricity in Romania is a problem, the story of the first nuclear power plant on the territory of Romania, even from the perspective of information, is one that deserves to be known. Perhaps the projects regarding other nuclear power plants on the beautiful land of Romania will be resumed.
