Summary/Abstract: The material presented in the paper includes the results of faunal investigations carried out during 2019 in the forest area near of Causeni city. At this point was collected the species Carphacis striatus (Olivier, 1795) from the Coleoptera order, Staphylinidae family, Tachyporinae subfamily. For the country’s fauna, the species and genus constitute a new registration in the study list. It is the only representative of the mentioned genus and is placed in the collection of Entomological Museum from the Institute of Zoology.
