Summary/Abstract: The value of the volume is revealed by the generous theme of historical memory (including its legacy), by the special approaches of most of the published research, but also by the professional competence of the authors from outside Romania (selected by Metin Omer and Delia Roxana Cornea) and those from the most important academic institutions of the country. The Ottoman and Turkish legacy in Dobrogea is a heritage that has been established and developed for more than half a millennium and on which systematic research is needed in all fields.
