Summary/Abstract: Introduction of a successful system of employees´ performance assessment requires an optimal structure of a set of elements. One of key elements of the system of assessment is an evaluator. This is the person who is supposed to review and assess employees´ performance and from whom not only a company but also individual employees will get feedback concerning their work performance. The aim of this paper is to present subjects who can take a role of evaluators, possibilities of their combination, the newest trends in their selection and information about he approaches to their selection based a survey carried out in 973 companies in Slovakia.
