Summary/Abstract: Agro tourism may represent a good opportunity to begin a new parallel activity with the one that rural inhabitants already do, using, for the growth of profitability the infrastructure that they already have. Even if agro tourism is a complex phenomenon, in our country this activity is in its organization phase, requiring big financial resources. These resources can be obtained also from founds given to Romania, in the Phare Program, in the purpose of rural tourism development, which is has two major components: promoting the rural tourism and developing village tourism by creating groups of pilot villages. The present stage of the rural tourism development is defined by integration phenomena which are displayed on three levels: - On indivual level, by changing the mentality, growing the cultural and civilisation level, people’s free circulation, individual continuous desire of knowledge; - On firm level, by a diverse and qualitative offer, with qualified and emancipated personnel; - On government level, by developing the infrastructure, by qualification courses for the tourism personnel and also for the householders, by fiscal, custom, currency, medical asistence and transportation facilities etc to allow a faster touristical circulation and shortening the time between the moment of the request and the moment of the touristical consume.
