Summary/Abstract: This article investigates three necropolies from the Sântana de MureșCerneahov culture in the Moldova region, specifically located at Bârlad-Valea Seacă (Vaslui County), Mihălășeni (Botoșani County), and Săbăoani (Neamț County). The analysis centers on several important aspects of burial practices: the ratio of inhumation to cremation graves, the orientation of the graves, the positioning of the skeletons, and the presence or absence of grave goods. By comparing these features across the three sites, the study aims to provide a deeper understanding of the burial customs and cultural interactions in this extracarpatic area during the Sântana de Mureș-Cerneahov period. The findings offer valuable insights into the diversity of funerary practices and the social structures of these ancient communities.
