Summary/Abstract: The author presents a set of four tokens issued by the glass factory from Lespezi, (Iaşi county), that were used by employees at the factory canteen to purchase food. The factory was founded at the end of the 19th century. At the beginning of the Second World War, the glass factory in Lespezi was closed. Foreign specialists have returned to their countries. The factory was destroyed during military hostilities in 1944. During the economic crisis of 1929-1933, for the development of local trade, the factory owners decided that part of the employee salaries should be paid in value tokens, which could be used in factory shops and factory canteen, but also to local merchants, thus encouraging local trade and preventing bankruptcy.
