Summary/Abstract: The present study is motivated by the interest in German literature, in particular the dialectal forms of the language, problematic places for translation and the overall reception of German language literary work over the years due to disagreements on the topic of the tales of Grimm Brothers. The analysis primarily takes into account the process of collecting the fairy tales and he relationship with the literary continuity of the fairy tales within a certain time frame. This work objectively examines the moods and response of the „Children’s and Household Tales“ edition of the Brothers Grimm and traces the continuity historically based on public attitudes.
