Summary/Abstract: The relation of differentiation to the concepts of “criminal process”, “criminal procedure” and “criminal procedural form” has been examined. A significant number of theoretical definitions of differentiation of criminal procedure have been systematised, summarised and studied. Emphasis has been placed on issues related to the normative technique and the establishment of particular sets of norms providing for differentiated criminal procedural forms as distinct structural units of the Criminal Procedure Code. Based on the conducted analysis, a scientific definition of differentiation of criminal procedure has been proposed.
